REALIZE that everyday will not be as easy as the last. There will be days when you get home and say, “As Salaamu Alaikum” as you walk in and you truly long to hear a nice booming, “Wa Alaikum Asalaam” in return. Let this time of longing be the time you make your sincerest duas. Allah placed that want in you for a reason, as a means to turn back to Him to implore for the things you pray for and need. At this time make dua for your beloved and for yourself.

When I picture “Him” I picture him happy, safe and whole. I make dua that in this time apart he is well and praying for me too. Take this time to recite Ayatul Kursi so that you will be surrounded by angels of protection. But realize that when you make dua, Allah hears you and answers. So when you one day realize that your phone is not ringing off the hook anymore with hopeless prospects, you have prayed them away. Stand firm. He’s coming.
